EIA Study

Minerals are the natural resources of a country and if sustainably used, it can contribute to a lot in the total GDP of the nation. Two types of minerals viz., major minerals for e.g., bauxite, silica, granite etc. and minor minerals for e.g., sand, soil, sand stone etc. are characterized by Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF) New Delhi. MoEF, Government of India has made the EIA study mandatory for mining of minerals. Large constructions include the commercial and group housing along with the townships. As per the EIA Notification 2006, Environmental Clearance is required for every construction having built-up area more than 20,000 square meters.
